Switzerland has it all in terms of epic mountain roads and vistas, and we’re going to take you along the very best roads.

This is your chance to embark on an enchanting driving tour through Liechtenstein, one of Europe’s smallest yet most captivating countries.

Swiss Alps – pre tour & day 1
Day 1
PRE-TOUR
FIRST JOURNEY

Our tour begins not far from the Nürburgring.

If you haven’t visited before, this is a great opportunity to do so. You could take your channel crossing on the morning of the 27th June, stay at our hotel, and visit the Nürburgring on the 28th.

Our first hotel has a beautifully situated spa, so why not start your holiday earlier and spend a few nights here before your tour starts? Contact us for details!

DAY 1
OUTWARD TO GERMANY

Our first hotel is set in the beautiful rolling landscape of the German Rhineland.

Unless you elect to arrive earlier, you’ll take your morning Eurotunnel crossing and make your way to the hotel, where we will greet you.

We’ll have an opening meal to get acquainted before we start our adventure.

Austria – day 2 & 3

RHINELAND & BLACK FOREST

Today we hit the road! We’ll be heading south for a spectacular scenic drive along the Black Forest High Road. After a lunch break at a scenic lake, we’ll drive to our hotel in Friedrichshafen, on the northern shore of Lake Constance. This town was famous for zeppelins in the early 20th century, and features an excellent museum.

There will be time in the evening to explore this quaint little lakeside town, with views of the Austrian Alps just over the water.

DAY 3
LIECHTENSTEIN

After crossing into Austria, we’ll spend the day touring the highlights of Liechtenstein including a chair-lift to Sareiserjoch (elevation 2,000m), giving a fantastic view of the whole of Liechtenstein and Switzerland beyond.

A few points of interest later, we’ll finish off with time to wander in the capital, Vaduz.

Austria – day 4 & 5

KLAUSENPASS & LUCERN
~120 miles, 3 hours driving time
~260 miles, 3-4 hours driving time

A scenic drive along Walensee will take us over Klausenpass. After lunch at the summit, we’ll descend to Lake Lucerne’s shore for a drive around its north coast. Our hotel is a stone’s throw from the centre of Lucerne (either by car or bus), so you can head in to explore and get a fondue for dinner if you wish!

SWITZERLAND’S BIG PASSES
~40 miles, 4-5 hours driving time
~300 miles, 5-6 hours driving time

Low mileage today, but it’s absolutely rammed with great driving roads! We’ll tackle the Tremola, Nufenen, Furka, and Susten Passes.

We finish at our hotel in Grindelwald, ready for our free day.

Swiss Alps – day 6 & 7

FREE DAY IN GRINDEWALD

~260 miles, 3-4 hours driving time

A day in the fabulous Lauterbrunnen valley.

Here, there’s something for everyone. Take cable cars and funiculars to the Top Of Europe, try a range of adrenaline sports, enjoy a stroll or head down to the nearby town of Interlaken, sandwiched between two stunning lakes. You’ll also find an interactive chocolate factory here!

HEAD FOR FRANCE

On our last full day together, we’ll have fun with an awesome drive out of Switzerland and into rural France. We’ll finish the day in the Alsace region, not far from Colmar, enjoying a final meal and a chance to chat about our personal highlights of the trip.

TO CALAIS

This morning we say our farewells and make our way back to Calais for our channel crossings in the late afternoon.

If you would prefer to extend your holiday, you could spend a few more nights at our spa hotel to relax and explore the local area.
