FIRST JOURNEY
Let the adventure begin

Our trip begins not far from Skipton, on the southern edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

The meeting point on the first morning of the tour (20th October) will be a hotel, and there will be the option to spend the night before there with us if you have some distance to travel.

Day 1
DAY 1
YORKSHIRE DALES & BOWLAND
~300 miles, 5-6 hours driving time
~140 miles of driving

We’ll be heading for the Yorkshire Dales first today, taking in the roads around Niddersdale and Malmsdale before getting lunch in Settle and enjoying the roads in the Forest of Bowland, Lancashire. The roads will be a mix of wide, sweeping roads across vast landscapes, contrasted with a few that take us a little more off the beaten track.

Cornwall – day 2 & 3
Day 1
DAY 2
BUTTERTUBS & HARTSIDE PASSES
~300 miles, 5-6 hours driving time
~145 miles of driving

Heading north today through the western Yorkshire Dales seeing the Ribblehead Viaduct and driving the Buttertubs Pass to the highest Inn in the British Isles. From here we’ll cut north taking some fantastic roads to Penrith before finishing the day on the Hartside Pass.

Day 1
DAY 3
SCOTTISH BORDERS & NORTHUMBERLAND
~180 miles of driving
~300 miles, 5-6 hours driving time

Day 3 will see us heading further north. We’ll take the St. Mary’s Loch Road before cutting across the phenomenally beautiful Scottish borders. We’ll end up at Carter Bar on the Scottish border, before heading south through the desolate and remote landscape of Northumberland. The views are massive and the roads immense here.

Great Northern – Day 4

DAY 4
THE NORTH PENNINES

~260 miles, 3-4 hours driving time
